Ear Gallery Music is a...

…unique recording studio located in the hills above the trendy York Boulevard neighborhood of Highland Park in Los Angeles, CA. We are music first studio. Although we know the craft of recording as well as any studio in town and have a unique gear list, (including a mid-70’s MCI analog console and a Yamaha C7 grand piano), we make the gearhead part of your recording experience transparent. The equipment is there only to serve the music. No more and no less.

Solo Artists

Whether building an entire production or adding live drums and sitars, we specialize in helping solo artists. David J (Bauhaus, Love & Rockets) has recorded two records here.

Live Multitrack Recording

Some of the best free jazz musicians in LA record live sessions with us. We have become fluid in trimming the fat, seamlessly correcting the occasional clam and perfecting the mix.

Unusual Projects

We have written film scores and recorded world music, blue grass, audio books, music for hospitals, theater backing tracks and tons of cool stuff. We know all about tight budgets.

Five Separate Recording Spaces...

Every space on the Ear Gallery property can be wired for recording. We even staged and recorded a house concert for one of our bands. Great live recording starts with great headphone mixes. Ours can be controlled remotely by each musician on the fly.
